Did you handle it humanely? I'm unsure if we should consider these creatures malicious-- their behavior could be the product of stress, though I certainly won't blame you if you used force. It's the simplest method to incapacitate them.

I've no plans to keep it. It's far too messy for my liking... and the odor is atrocious! I'll likely have to air my room out for hours at this rate.
