[The video shows a good view of a cloudy sky and...not much else. The feed shakes and wobbles a bit, a clear sign that whoever's holding the pokegear is a grade A newbie. Thankfully it isn't long before a merciful white paw grabs the thing and turns it the right way, showing a far too excited blonde kid and a cubchoo who rests on his shoulder, looking awfully proud of herself for fixing the feed. Aw yeah, she knows technology. Take that everyone else! Teddie gives her a congratulatory pat on the head before continuing.]

It is! And it does VIDEO?! Woah-ho, this one's waaaaay better than my last one, Yosuke must've finally decided I needed a well deserved upgrade~

[He chuckles a bit to himself, his pokemon joining in despite the fact that she doesn't even know what a Yosuke is. She's just happy he's happy. Sadly, their festivities don't seem to last very long as Teddie begins to glance around, slowly beginning to realize none of his surroundings are very familiar. At all. His smile begins to fade into a worried frown as it finally dawns on him: He's lost.]

I-I guess he decided to move the house while he was at it, hehe...

[He tries his best to stay positive, but anyone with any sense could tell that was a very nervous chuckle. Cubchoo attempts to reassure him by patting his head now, but it only does so much.]

I'm bearginning to think something's going on here...

[That's all Perry will get before he stops texting, opting to go search for his mystery pen pal instead. Interestingly enough, it's his starter that ends up walking up to Perry first after a good while. Guess who actually knows what a fedora is?!]

[Well lucky for all of them Perry knows how to communicate with Pokemon. When he notices the (slightly gross) bear, he smiles and kneels down towards him. Perry motions the Cubchoo "hello" and asks if he knows the Teddie person that he's supposed to meet.

After all this guy was supposed to be a bear so it would make sense if he had a bear Pokemon.]

[Not to mention Teddie wore his Cubchoo like an accessory the whole time he was on the gear, it goes without saying that this pokemon is his. She doesn't hesitate to reaffirm Perry, nodding happily and waving her trainer over. Look, she found him! What a good helper she is, bring on the treats!

Teddie soon follows, scooping up his partner once the two are close enough. He doesn't appear to mind how "gross" she might be, holding her awfully close to his body.]

Woah...you're cool.

[Maybe too cool... Teddie wasn't expecting a grown adult.]

[Perry waves at Teddie once they finally meet. He even blushes a little when he calls him cool. Well, he personally wasn't too fond of the body but he's glad he's still cool like this.

He... also notices that this guy can talk already. Well he did kind of say he was from the TV World so maybe animals can naturally talk human there?]

[Teddie shuffles his feet at first, unsure what to say. Adults were always different from his friends. Don't get him wrong, some are really nice! But others...can get mad fast. Okay, play it cool, it's only a real cool detective guy. Kind of like...]

Hey! You kinda remind me of Nana-chan's dad!

[Well, that's one way to calm the nerves.]

[Perry cocks his head at that. He's assuming that's a good thing, right?]

[Why is he cocking his head at him like that? Why isn't he talking?]

...Are you okay there?

[It takes Perry a few moments to realize what Teddie is talking about before sheepishly taking out his Pokegear to text him something.]

[Teddie pulls out his gear and looks at it, puzzled. Why would he- oh. Oh. He can't help but look back up at him with a sympathetic gaze. The poor guy...]

Oh...I'm so sorry, I-I didn't even know that was a thing that could happen!

[Perry waves off the concern before texting again.]

it's alright. i'm sure my vocal chords work fine so if i try, i'll probably be able to speak the language here in a few months.

and i can "talk" to your pokemon, at least.

[Not that he enjoyed the idea of being here for more than a few months, but still, it doesn't hurt to be prepared.]

Oh oh, I know!

[Teddie seems much more excitable after reading that last text.]

You should let me teach you! I learned how to talk aaaaall by myself, it's super easy!

[Perry even has a mouth and everything on day one! He's got this in the bag.]

[Perry blinks in surprise. You'd really do that for him?]

[He doesn't seem to need a text for that one.]

I guess it can get really scary being human for the first time. I wouldn't know, I had a whole group of friends to watch out for me, and it was kinda something I wanted in the first place... BUT, I still know what it's like to be the odd bear out, and I think Sensei would be really proud of me if I started helping others for a change.

So whaddya say?

[Perry smiles at that, looking genuinely touched, before nodding in agreement. That sounds great!]

WOOHOO, then it's a deal!

[Without even thinking, Teddie throws his arms in the air in celebration, then around Perry in a hug. Cubchoo is then, of course, sandwiched between the two and begins to wiggle frantically. Help. HELP!]

I always wanted to be someone else's sensei for a change, this is gonna be so grrreat!
