[Teddie once again shows up on the feed and once again appears to be in a hotel room. Unlike the other few times, however, he seems absolutely delighted to be talking to everyone, which means this is probably going to be very annoying.]

You guys gotta see this, look what I finally got!

[Behind him flutters a little woobat, its flight pattern some what erratic as if it's struggling to to stay afloat. And yet it seems completely fine with this, smiling as Teddie's cubchoo and quilava happily chase it about the room below it, giggling and generally being adorable monster critters.]

I finally got my scorebat! [Which he totally...didn't need help getting at all. Don't be silly...he would never make...someone catch something...for him. That would be, um, lazy or...something.] Now ladies, try not to get too excited. I know he makes me even more irresistible, but there's no need to fight over me just yet~

[Before Teddie can continue about how he's probably a hot stud or whatever nonsense he normally spouts, there's a loud THUD as the tiny bat slams into the wall and lands into the tiny trash can behind him. Teddie jumps, looking over his shoulder to see this...display, but quickly whips back to the feed as if this makes his new pal even better.]

I'M GONNA NAME HIM YOSUKE!!

[Cho toddles over to the waste bin, a worried look on her face as she pokes one of Yosuke's exposed wings. The feed ends before anyone gets to find out if it's dead or not.]

[.... Rise just... kind of stares blankly at him for a moment.]

... You're mad that I'm naming my Pokémon after our friends? T-That's like being a kid on the playground mad about another kid having a new toy!

[NOW SHE WILL NAME ALL OF THE NEW ONES AFTER THE REST OF THEIR FRIENDS. So... Chie and Senpai. No, she's not going to name one Senpai.

Sighing, she crosses her arms.]

What do you want?

[Teddie's pretty sure she meant it's like being a MAN on the playground, and how dare that kid have a new toy before him. Politics aside, Teddie crawls over his bed and over towards Rise herself because important talks should be up close and personal. His pokemon seem to stay behind, but it's totally not because they're scared of her or anything.]

Rise-chan...

[He does his best to look serious as he places his hands on her shoulders. Please don't hit him.]

Did you know that we're family?

[No, she meant the kid part. Teddie will never be a grown up in her eyes because he'll never act like one.

Rise isn't too sure what to expect when he does get serious. Please don't be a love confession or-

She blinks before tilting her head.]

Family? I guess we are. We've been through a lot, and we've been friends for a while now. Is that what you wanted to talk about?

That's exactly what I wanna talk about.

[At least she hasn't hit him yet, that's a good sign. There's wake-up slaps and then there's Rise slaps. Who even knows what's worse?]

I didn't know family could be anybody, I always thought it was with moms and dads and uncles and all that sorta junk. I'm just...I'm really confused.

I know there's a saying for this... oh! "Family is what you make it."

[She's not going to hit you unless your hands go where they shouldn't.]

That's blood related or married into family. There's adoptions, too. But really good friends can be family just as much as those.

[Still confused, Teddie finally takes his hands off of her. "Blood related" sounds gross, he's not sure how badly he wants to be blood related to anyone, but everything else is...okay? Maybe he can marry into a bunch of different families...]

So what does that make you, then?

[Everyone in a family plays a part. Yosuke is obviously the pet, but Rise he doesn't have a name for. She can't be the mom because she isn't old enough, and she can't be the uncle because she doesn't wear a tie.]

[Hmm...]

I could be a sister, and aunt, or a cousin?

[Because there is no way she is the mom when she calls Perry dad.]

Though I call Mr. P dad, so I guess I'd be a sister! But don't you dare call me onee-chan!

[Sister. He didn't even consider sister. ...Probably because none of his friends have any. Teddie squeezes his cheeks just at the thought, he's totally going to tell Lightning about this next time they chat.]

Aw c'mon, not even just once? It'd be hilarious!

[Speaking of hilarious, Teddie's bat finally flutters out from hiding and haphazardly flies his way over to them, wanting to get in on this conversation. He can barely stay in the air as he gets to Teddie, gravity taking over as he plops himself onto his trainer's shoulder.]

See, Yosuke? Rise-chan's family now, so that means you can't use your scoring magic on her. It'd be weird.

No.

[If you do, she will ignore you for days. And you have to pay for all of your own things.]

Teddie... uhm... I don't think that's how a Woobat works...

[Does she want to burst his bubble or keep him happy and figure out for himself that this only works on Pokémon?

Let him be happy for a little while long.]

I-I mean, yeah, it doesn't work on family!

[YEAH WELL, HE'S GONNA CALL HER THAT WHEN SHE'S NOT LOOKING.]

That's what I figured. [He nods as he ruffles Yosuke's head affectionately. The tiny bat squeaks with joy as it nuzzles against his hand.] It didn't make sense for it to work on family, family already loves each other anyway.

[Therefore magical bats aren't needed.]

So who's Mr. P? You never told me you had a dad around here.

[...Teddie. Honey.]

[If she's not looking, she can till hear him.]

Y-Yeah... [So naive.

She perks up at that. Did he not hear her call Mr. P that?]

Perry! He's not my real dad, of course, but he's a lot like a dad. And he likes it when I call him that!

[Does this look like a boy who pays attention?]

You call him Mr. P? That's kinda gross, Rise-chan...

[It sounds like Mr. Pee. Teddie is obviously a beacon of maturity.]

But I guess I always sorta saw him more as the uncle... [BECAUSE HE HAS A TIE.] I never really thought about dad bearfore...

B-Because I couldn't say Perry at first! I'm Japanese, and that was hard!

[Rise's just gonna shove you away now.]

Uncle? He's not that much of an uncle type. He's way too protective for that, and he doesn't try and keep giving us candy.

[Very skewed view of uncle's, despite Dojima-san.]

Uh, pardon! I'm Japanese, too!

[SAYS TEDDIE, WHO IS VERY CLEARLY NOT JAPANESE.]

And what does candy have to do with anything? I want candy! Why aren't we eating candy right now?

Teddie... you're not Japanese.

[That's the truth.

She sighs.]

I have some candy in my room. I'll be right back...

[It's too much of a fight to talk to Teddie like this.]

Wait, huh? If I'm not Japanese, then what the heck am I?!

[He's only ever been to Japan! But that's okay, he can panic while she goes to fetch the candy. Candy makes everything better.]

From the TV world. Which can be anywhere!

[She's gone off to do just that. When she comes back, it's with the said Ralts and her little Pumpkaboo.]

Okay. I've got chocolate and fruit candies. Some gummies, too.

[Japan is totally part of anywhere! ...Oh well, too late. He can't complain if she isn't there, and by time she gets back he doesn't even care anymore. There's candy now, why should he complain? Of course, now that she brought food, she now has the attention of all of his pokemon. So not only does she get +1 boy, there are also two very large bears, a very small bear, a bat, and a not-dog. They all look at her, begging with their eyes. Hopefully Rise brought enough for everybody.]

Gosh almighty, Rise-chan, how do you always stay so stocked up?

I've got Pokémon safe candies, and the others are for us.

[Yukiko climbs onto the bed, and the little pumpkin just floats around as if she wasn't aware where anything was. Rise blinks at that.]

I'm an idol for a sweets shop. I get candy all the time because of it. And the pay's really good as long as I advertise in each town I go to. Why do you think I keep taking costumes with me?

'Cause you like to dress up?

[Cho, Goro and Yosuke take after Yukiko, climbing onto the bed as they're the only ones who won't destroy it when they sit on it. Unlike, say, two giant bears. Goro finds himself watching the pumpkaboo float around, unsure if this is a health hazard or not...]

Speaking of which, I was wondering if you could help me get some new outfits for Cho-chan. I'm a lil worried since she...wants to get all big, so I'm not sure if I should wait or not. Do you think they make clothes in bear sizes?

[Yosuke begins to bounce up and down impatiently as he's forced to wait for candy, as Teddie's other pokemon only silently struggle. Yes, clothes are great, but snack time is being now.]

... no. It's for work. I'm an idol, Teddie! It's my job to dress up!

[It's like you weren't paying attention at all! Yukiko isn't sure what to think of her new companions sitting beside her. Two out of three are warm. That's maybe a good thing?]

Eh? So she wants to evolve? I thought you said she wanted to stay little... I could help her with outfits. I'm trying to think of what outfits would be cute for me to match Kabocha. Oh!

[Rise grabs the little floating gourd.] This is my Pumpkaboo, Kabocha! I've been keeping her in her Pokéball until Nanako stopped trying to use her as a toy... [She'll give her little Pumpkaboo a treat, and then one for each of the others.] I'll make a Halloween outfit to match her~

[Pressing his fingers together, Teddie avoids any and all eye contact for a second.]

I miiiiight've maybe told a not-truth, and I might've maybe made Cho-chan really angry when I stopped training her for awhile... Haha...

[Yeah, guess how happy she was about that? And Cho rarely ever gets mad. It was...It was a learning experience.]

Yeesh, why did you name her after Nana-chan if she's just so mean? I'll never understand it... If you really wanna be scary, you should dress up as her.

... so you lied about Cho not wanting to evolve because you wanted to keep her cute. I should have known....

[AHAHAHAHAHA... wow, this is a rough story to tell.]

S-She was super sweet and nice at first. Like how Nanako was. But then she evolved... and started being able to read people's minds. I guess she doesn't like what she finds, because if she thinks someone is bad for me, she'll guide me away from them. I should have listened to her about that guy...

Okay okay okay, but in my defense, she is really cute.

[Look at her. Who wouldn't want to keep her that way forever? It's not fair, why does she want to turn big and scary?]

Wait, what guy? You mean the guy who hurt your feelings?

I know, but maybe she just wants to be stronger, too.

[Be more respectful of your babies.]

Yeah... I should have listened to her when she said she didn't like him. But he was so nice, and we talked a lot... I always listen to Nanako now.
